The WIC program is also good at connecting families to community agencies and organizations that can help meet their needs.

Participants meet certain income guidelines.
Eligible women and children receive vouchers for fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grain breads, rice, eggs and a variety of other healthy foods. For infants who are not breastfed, WIC provides some but not all the iron-fortified formula needed monthly. At 6 months of age infants receive cereal, fruits and vegetables.
